Art This Week Bios: Conduit Gallery
Nancy Whitenack Interview, Part 2

Episode 3-September 24, 2014

Our first series of interviews for Art This Week Bios explores the history of Conduit Gallery. For our third episode, we continue our conversation with Nancy Whitenack. Here she talks about her move to her 3200 Main Street Spaces in May 1991. Then, she talks about her move to the current space at 1626 Hi Line Drive in the Design District in May 2002.
Also, Nancy briefly mentions the Annex, a space she and former Conduit Gallery assistant Marty Walker created as a second exhibition space at the Main Street location. There will be more on the Annex in a future episode.
This is part of a series of interviews we filmed with those involved with the gallery over its first thirty years. We will post more of these interviews over the next few weeks, so keep watching!
In an early version of this post, we referred to her first space as 3100 Main Street, it was 3200 Main Street.
