This week, we visit the Blanton Museum of Art and our interviewer, KC Schanbaum, speaks with Curatorial Associate for Latin American Art, Beth Shook, about the exhibition, Impressionism and the Caribbean: Francisco Oller and His Transatlantic World. The exhibition is on view at the museum through September 6, 2015.
On August 29, 2015, Dr. Edward Sullivan, will give a lecture on the exhibition (2-3pm). You can find information on the talk here. Dr. Sullivan is Helen Gould Sheppard Professor of the History of Art at the Institute of Fine Arts and the Department of Art History at New York University, co-curator of the exhibition and author of From San Juan to Paris and Back: Francisco Oller and Caribbean Art in the Era of Impressionism
