Loren Mozley: Structural Integrity-Sue Canterbury Interview-Episode 170-March 5, 2013



In this episode, we visit The Dallas Museum of Art and speak with Sue Canterbury, The Pauline Gill Sullivan Associate Curator of American Art, about the exhibition, Loren Mozley: Structural Integrity. In this video, we discuss his background, his influences and his work. Mozley traveled extensively and worked with many Modern American Masters, including, Georgia O’Keefe, John Marin and Andrew Dasberg. You can see the influences of these great artists in his palette, subject matter and themes. He settled in Austin where he taught painting at the University of Texas, Austin for more than three and a half decades. He died on September 21, 1989. This exhibition brings together landscape and still-life paintings he made throughout his life and is on view through June 30, 2013.
